🎬 Inspired by the aesthetics of retro films, the online cinema "Tytr" presents the best selections of films about culture, as well as independent European films.
We created a platform and app for this project, which is available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Our task was to ensure a seamless user experience, regardless of whether the viewer is watching a film on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Visually, Titr stands out from its competitors. Its lightness, conciseness, and expressive graphic accents create the atmosphere of a modern arthouse cinema. The design is not overwhelming; it works as a frame for the main thing: the films. Clear typography, a well-thought-out hierarchy, and contrasting elements emphasize the retro mood while remaining modern.
💻 We developed intuitive navigation that allows you to easily find films by mood, theme, or selection. For comfortable viewing, we provided a dark theme that minimizes eye strain and enhances the cinematic effect.
Special attention was paid to the flexibility of the platform: we created a system of convenient content modules for quick filling and adaptation of pages for special projects. We also implemented a non-standard monetization model: instead of a classic subscription, users can purchase a ticket for a single film or a pass for several films. There is also the option to gift a viewing experience — to make cinema a personal experience for someone else.
Thanks to a shared personal account, viewers can start watching on one device and continue from the same place on another. The platform remembers your progress and maintains viewing comfort.
